4. Create Badges in Abre (M3)

Student Success Badges are the highest level competencies you want your students to exhibit throughout their K12 experience. For example, a community may want their students to demonstrate traits like Creative Problem Solver or Confident Communicator. These high-level traits are considered badges in Abre.

This article describes how to create the badges in Abre. Prior to creating the badges, a school will want to go through the process of identifying these high-level competencies.

To Create a Badge

1. Click on the Students App
2. Click on the Student Success button
3. Click the the plus icon
4. Add name, description, and badge image
5. Add skills associated with the badge

How is a Badge Earned?

A badge is earned when you’ve mastered the skills associated with that badge. Say there are 10 skills associated with a badge. A student has mastered 9 of those 10. The badge will indicate that 90% of the badge is earned.

1. Plan, plan, plan.
2. Use a program like Canva to develop your badge images. Or engage students!
